Thanks for stopping by!
I’ve been a writer at heart since I could first pick up a pencil. I absolutely believe in the power of the written word to carry a reader away to places where anything is possible. My stories pretty much always feature characters who belong on the LGBTQ spectrum somewhere. Write what you know, as the saying goes.
As a reader, I generally read for enrichment and enjoyment. My tastes vary greatly – on my bookshelf you’ll find works of history such as the life of Henry VIII next to a study of Egyptian language next to a book about the ancient American Mound-builders. Alongside those are romances, young adult novels, sci-fi novels, and lots of fantasies.
When I write, I attempt to offer my readers the same things I want in a book – feelings, thoughts, a little bit of escapism. I’m not out to write the Next Great Thing. I’m all about storytelling, providing some entertainment, and I’m generally hoping to provide you with an hour (or several) of pleasure before you have to face the Real World (boo, hiss) again.
When I’m not working my day job or writing, I enjoy cooking and baking. I like to spend time outdoors and draw a lot of inspiration simply from being outside in the fresh air. I spend time kayaking and hiking, but my main hobby aside from writing is horseback riding. I listen to almost any kind of music, but I like it quiet when I’m writing.
I am a shower singer.
I hate toast.
I have an addiction to green chili hummus.
I get nervous when I have to actually talk to people.
I generally prefer the company of animals.
I’m sure there’s plenty more to be said, and in time perhaps I’ll say it – when I’m not busy plotting, planning, and yes, sometimes even scheming.
In the meantime, thanks for visiting, and happy reading!
